Sears is a “glass half-full” person who sees the good in situations. He cares very deeply for his friends and clients and seeks to encourage them through the rough patches of life.

Sears is a retried Lt Colonel from the US Marine Corps having served two combat tours in Vietnam where he experienced PTSD. He worked in large corporations and later started his own business. He also has an MBA with many years of business and leadership experience.

Sears believes that an individual must recognize his or her need for meaning and purpose in their own lives in order to experience peace, joy, and satisfaction. Sears completes his own sense of meaning and purpose through his commitment to Jesus Christ and his family and friends. Sears recognizes that each client must deal with God or not deal with God at his or her own pace. The majority of his clients are not religious people, but they can still find meaning and purpose through any area of life.  With a warm, pragmatic, and client-centered approach, his goal is to help clients evaluate the areas of their lives that are causing them anxiety or dysfunction. He has worked extensively with men and women suffering from past traumatic events. This unresolved trauma often leads to addiction in alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, etc.

Sears is happily married to Audrey, his wife of 38 years. They have two grown sons and five grandchildren. He enjoys taking his Labrador Retrievers for walks, weight training, reading sci-fi novels, good conversation, and fine dining.
